The 2008 Luce La Vite Lucente is loaded with tons of cherries, sweet plum, tobacco leaf, anise, mineral with a touch of cocoa and floral. It is refined with fine tannins and a silky caressing mouth-feel which leads to the mineral and cherry filled finish. This will be best in a year or two, so be sure to give it some air time develop if opening now. The Tuscan terrior really shows in this blend of 50 % Merlot, 35 % Sangiovese, 15 % Cabernet Sauvignon aged in barriques: 55% new French oak, 5% new American oak, 40 % French oak used once.
