OJAI VINEYARDS Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County 2016

Ojai's Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir comes from a variety of vineyards across the county. The final blend is a made up of fruit from 38% Kick On Ranch, 22% Bien Nacido, 20% Puerta del Mar, 20% Solomon Hills. 10%. It takes some air contact to  begin to express its full range of aromas which include wild cherries, strawberries, raspberries, exotic spice, dried leaf, loam, violets and fresh cut roses. On the palate this is soft and elegant, with lots of red fruits, and spice flavors coming through and leaving a lasting impression. This is delicious now and should continue to drink well with some short-term cellaring.
