The 2016 Fault Line Vineyard Chardonnay is the first release from this renowned vineyard for Brick and Mortar and winemaker Matt Iaconis. The site is located on the Sonoma Coast at 1000 feet elevation, and the vines are 30 years old. The wine itself has a beautiful freshness, with aromas of Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, pineapple, white nectarine, crushed slate and fresh flowers. It has a mouth coating texture with lots of citrus and stony characteristics that resonate through the palate and linger on the long racy finish. This will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and should continue to flourish over the next 10-12 years.
