The 2015 Château Leoville Barton is a total beauty in this vintage. Composed of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot this displays a gorgeous dark color, along with inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, dark currants, spices, florals, tobacco and hints of scorched earth all coming together beautifully. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous full-bodied texture, with beautifully polished tannins. It shows remarkable overall structure and balance driven by a dense core of ripe dark fruits which expand through the long, supple finish. Overall, this is a simply fantastic effort, which will require some additional bottle age to settle in, and should go on to cellar beautifully for many years to come.
