This Old Vine Pinot Noir comes from own-rooted vines planted by Miller family in 1973, in a diverse set of soils within Bien Nacido Vineyard. The wine itself is a total knockout, as it begins with gorgeous aromas of cherries, red berries, loam, toasted herb, soy, Ethiopian coffee, tree bark and dried flowers. This continues to impress as it displays wonderful purity and balance, as well as excellent focus and precision through the finish. Terroir driven and made in a beautiful classic style, this is one of the finest example of Pinot Noir from the vintage. A simply remarkable wine from Justin Willett, which is completly stunning now, and certainly looks as if will have an even brighter future ahead.
