This Grenache Rosé is sourced from blocks in the Armada Vineyard, which are in close proximity to the Grenache used in the God Only Knows bottling. The 2016 'Edith' Rosé was aged in a combination of concrete and stainless steel. It begins with aromas of white peach, red rose and red cherry candy with a touch of guava. There is a lighter stony quality to the nose that also delights. A compete wine, this shows wonderful astringency, as well as lovely salinity. Flavors of citrus, melon and red fruits all come together beautifully on the palate and and lead up to the gorgeous lingering finish. This a faboulas Rosé, which I imagine will cellar marvelously, and take on wonderful tertiary notes.
