The 2015 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful showing from Turnbull. The base fruit for this wine is predominantly Leopoldina Vineyard, with the addition of fruit from the Fortuna Vineyard. It begins with inviting aromas of dark currants and blackberries which come together with spices, graphite, licorice and mocha that all come together in the glass. On the palate this possesses a rich, voluptuous texture, with nicely integrated tannins. It displays notable depth and concentration through the long opulent finish. This is simply delicious now and should continue to evolve and drink well for a decade.
