The Marjorie Vineyard has the reputation for generating some of Cristom Vineyards best fruit. The vineyard stands out for being own-rooted, and for its lower density plantings, in comparison to their other Estate Vineyards. The wine itself is simply fabulous as it takes on wonderful earthy tones on the nose with red currants and red cherry candy all connecting beautifully. The palate is plush and inviting, while also showing a wonderful refined texture. It continues to impress with its excellent range, delivering flavors of citrus rind, peat moss, wild blackberry and smoky undertones which all continue to build on the palate. The 2016 is already utterly delicious, however it also possesses the potential to age gracefully for a decade or more.
