The 2017 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett is wonderful effort from Willi Schaefer. This begins with a light, gold-tinged appearance, followed by vibrant aromas of white peach, lime, green tea and slate all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is bright and focused with gorgeous acidity leading up to the pretty finish. This is a total beauty in its youth, yet should continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
