Sourced from the Attelas Vineyard in Atlas Peak, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec was aged in 100% French oak for 22 months. As it slowly unwinds in the glass it begins to release lovely aromas of dark cherries and black raspberries, which are woven together with graphite, spices, florals and earthy soil nuances which round out the nose. On the palate this possesses a wonderful plush, velvety texture with notable overall balance. Flavors of dark cherries, spices, cocoa and hints of espresso all continue to build and leave a lasting impression on the finish. While this is already showing plenty of appeal, it also has the potential to thrive in the cellar over the next decade.
