The 2016 'La Crau du Mère' is a drop dead gorgeous showing in this vintage. Sourced from a selection of old vines located at Crau, this immediately impresses as it displays a dark, inky color, with stunning aromatics of blackberries and raspberry coulis which are woven together with lavender, spices, herbs, applewood and chocolate nuances which all develop in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied with remarkable depth and concentration leading up to the long finish that leaves behind a mouthful of juicy red and dark fruits. While this is already simply fantastic, it also has the potential to age for many years.
