The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape begins with aromas of raspberries and plums woven together with spices, pepper and hints floral of pastry crust. On the palate this shows a lovely soft, round texture, with nice overall balance with notable red fruits at its core. Drinking beautifully now and should hold nicely in the cellar for the short-term. 90 Points
