This is a classic expression of Syrah was made using 100% Whole-Cluster and sourced from various vineyard throughout Sonoma County, including Castelli-Knight Ranch / Walker Vine Hill in the Russian River and Griffins Lair / Nellessen Vineyard in Sonoma Coast. The wine itself instantly begins to grab your attention with its deep purple color, followed by vibrant aromatics of blackberries, exotic spices, violets, pepper, smoke, licorice and subtle hints of earth which all take shape beautifully. On the palate this is simply gorgeous, as it displays remarkable focus and precision with bright acidity at its core. It demonstrates striking purity and balance all the way through the finish. Simply put, this is a total gem from Pax Mahle which should have a sensational future ahead. An incredible value given the quality of the wine - get it while you can.
