The 2016 Château Latour-Martillac is a wonderful showing in this vintage from the Kressmanns. Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot this offers lovely aromatics of ripe blackberries and crème de cassis along with tobacco, licorice and fresh herbs nuances all taking shape. On the palate this medium-boded red is beautifully balanced with a core of vibrant acidity driving the wine through the finish. Overall, this is a gorgeous wine and should continue to drink beautifully as it continues to evolve over the course of the next decade and beyond.
