The 2016 Château La Couspaude is a fabulous showing and the flagship wine from the Aubert Family. Yohan Aubert has crafted this wine from 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and it is one of more forward and accessible wine from the vintage. It instantly beings with seductive aromas of ripe blackberries, crème de cassis, spices, leather, roasted coffee and hints of sweet oak. On the palate his is medium to full-bodied with a gorgeous plush inviting texture. It displays wonderful concentration and balance from start to finish. Overall this is wonderfully expressive Saint-Émilion Grand Cru which should go on to drink beautifully for years to come.
