The 2016 Château Clinet is another magnificent release from this legendary estate located on the famous plateau in Pomerol. Consisting of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon this beings with inviting aromas dark berries which are underlined by nuances of spices, tobacco and hints of graphite. On the palate this is medium-bodied and well structured with a lovely core of acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the finish. This shows wonderful elegance and class, and is ultimately an age worthy Pomerol which will require moderate cellaring before it becomes accessible. Nonetheless, it's clearly a beautiful wine from Ronan Laborde.
