The 2016 Château Ferriere is a outstanding wine in this vintage. Composed of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon with the remaining a percentage of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It beings with inviting aromas of red currants and cassis with sweet pipe tobacco, herbs, florals and a touch of licorice. On the palate this is medium-bodied with excellent focus and concentration, as flavors of ripe red berries and tobacco notes continue to resonate throughout. Overall this is an absolutely fantastic Margaux which should go on to age remarkably well for quite some time.
