CHÂTEAU MOULIN DE LA ROSE Saint-Julien 2016

The 2016 Château Moulin de la Rose Saint-Julien is another fantastic vintage for this wine. As it slowly begins to unwind it releases pretty aromas of red and dark berries woven together with spring florals, spices, and tobacco all unwinding in the glass. This is medium to full-bodied and displays outstanding tannin structure with excellent overall balance and focus through the long finish. Readers should plan on cellaring this for at least 3-5 years before approaching and it should continue to drink beautifully for quite some time following. While this property is one of the few in St. Julien that is not classified as a Cru Classe, it is made up of many parcels of vines that touch prestigious neighbors as Leoville Barton, Gruaud Larose, Beychevelle and Talbot and not to mention the wine is consulted by Eric Boissenot who consults for 4 of the 5 First Growths.
