The 2016 Domaine Roger Perrin Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a blend of Grenache with Syrah, Mourvèdre and small amounts of Cinsault and Clairette, Counoise and Vaccarese. It opens with expressive aromas of red berries, currant, garrigue and black pepper. It has a medium body with round tannins and displays notable finesse the palate. Best to wait 1-2 years and enjoy over the the course of the next decade.
