The pinnacle wine from Alpha Omega, 'ERA' is a special selection of what winemaker Jean Hoefliger considers to be the best fruit from the vintage, and the 2016 is an absolutely magical release. It immediately begins to grab your attention with incredibally seductive aromas of ripe dark currants and blueberries, which are joined by violets, mocha, spring florals, graphite and hints of wild herbs that all come together seamlessly in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and voluptuous, with big, mouth coating, velvety tannins. This displays tremendous depth with a dense core of ripe dark fruits, sweet spices and mocha nuances, which all cascade on to the long, opulent finish. This is a total masterpiece and even a step above last years brilliant wine. Simply Incredible!
