Massolino’s 2015 Barbera d'Alba 'Gisep' is fabulous release. Displaying an impressive inky color, followed by wonderful aromas of dark cherries, crushed violets, dark chocolate, smoke, dried soil and grilled herbs all taking shape. Medium-full bodied, this Barbera is draped in velvety tannins, which are underlined by gorgeous acidity and minerality which provides wonderful freshness through the finish. This is an absolutely fantastic Barbera which is drinking beautiful now, yet should also age exceedingly well for years to come.
