The 2016 Bodegas El Nido 'Clio’ is another impressive release from this Jumilla estate. Forward and expressive, the bouquet evokes intense dark fruits aromas with roasted dates, chocolate covered espresso bean and hints of tar. There is a wonderful freshness to this highly viscous wine, as layers of dark fruits are wrapped in velvety tannins line the palate. Not for the weary, this decadent wine is marvelous in its youth, but should also continue to evolve for a decade or more.
