The 2016 Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red is an utterly fascinating wine that is all about structure, balance and refinement. Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot this dazzling red opens to aromas of red currants, ripe dark plums, spring flowers, spices, graphite and hints of licorice that all come together in the glass. On the palate this shows wonderful freshness and purity, as it continues to impress with remarkable focus and precision. It goes on to display a core of beautifully ripe red and dark fruits that are tightly wrapped in polished tannins which glide seamlessly before gripping a firm hold on the ultra-long finish. This is an incredibly well-made wine, that will require some patience before it hits it stride, that being said, this is simply stunning with a brilliant future ahead.
