The 2016 Bedrock Vineyard Red Wine is a field blend, based of Zinfandel, but also contains a wide range of other varietals, including Carignan, Black Muscat, Alicante Bouche, and Mourvédre to name a few. It beings with inviting aromas of ripe bramble fruit and warm red plums woven together with spices, pepper, wild herbs, spring lavender and hints of licorice all taking shape. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied, with a round, velvety texture and notable concentration from start to finish. There certainly won’t be any issues approaching this early on, but it will also be fun to watch it evolve over the course of the next decade.
