The 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a fantastic showing from Jeff Ames. Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from both Estate and Farella Vineyard's this begins with inviting aromas of red currants and cassis woven together with graphite, herbs, dusty leather, tobacco and violets all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied with round, polished tannins wrapping the core of ripe red and dark fruits that continue to expand seamlessly onto the long finish. The 2016 will be open for business upon release and should also offer a drinking window of at least a decade. Only 60 cases made.
