The 2016 ‘Rompecabezas’ is composed of 51% Grenache, 33% Mourvèdre and 16% Syrah. It opens to nuances of red berries, sweet red plums, wild herbs, licorice and spice cake all taking shape. It possesses a medium body with round, silky tannins and wonderful concentration leading up to the velvety finish. This is a wonderful red that is drinking remarkably well now, but should also continue to evolve beautifully over the course of the next decade.
