The 2016 La Pelle Sauvignon Blanc from winemaker Maayan Koschitzky is absolutely stunning, and certainly amongst the most compelling domestic Sauvignon Blancs around. It possesses layered aromas of Meyer lemon, ripe orange, green herbs, pineapple, and white flowers. It continues to impress as it displays outstanding depth of flavor, along with an incredible creamy texture and gorgeous salinity that persists through the finish. Made in the style of Dagueneau Sauvignon's, this one is not far off. A total beauty which is simply stunning today, yet can also handle some short-term cellaring.
