Larue's 2016 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir comes from 20-year-old vines from the Rice-Spivak and Thorn Ridge Vineyards. This gorgeous Pinot Noir begins with beautiful aromas of strawberries and dark cherries are woven together with cranberry, spices, leather, floral and dark soil. On the palate this is medium-bodied and possesses striking finesse, balance and focus, giving way to flavors of bright red fruits, spices and earthy notes that work their way into the long, elegant finish. Overall, this is a simply fantastic Pinot, that is showing well today, however could certainly benefit from an additional year or two of bottle age.
