The 2017 'The Elusive Queen' Chardonnay from Big Table Farm is one of the great Chardonnays made in Oregon. On the nose there is an intoxicating bouquet of wild mushroom and damp earth that come together with bright pear, kumquat and shades of mango which all combine brilliantly in the glass. The palate reveals a wonderful combination of bright acidity with a silky texture that lines the mid-palate. Bright citrus oil, vanilla cream, ripe starfruit and melon with flinty tones all round out this expressive wine. While gorgeous in its youth, 'The Elusive Queen' go on to age gracefully for at least another decade
