The 2013 ‘Henry’s Reserve’ is a fabulous showing in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromas of crème de cassis and dark currents which are woven together with dark chocolate, spices, pencil lead with hints of loam and dried sage. On the palate this is full-bodied and well-balanced, with nicely integrated tannins and a lovely supple mouthfeel that continues through the plush finish. Overall, this is a is simply fabulous wine that is drinking beautifully now and should continue to offer more than a decade of drinking pleasure.
