he 2017 Ribbon Ridge Estate Pinot Noir is another downright stunning release made by the talented James Frey of Trisaetum. The nose offers bright red fruits with citrus rind and shades of peat moss that all build nicely in the glass. On the palate this has wonderful verve and tension, offering a bright acidity adding freshness. The texture entices with high-toned red fruits that combine with shades of nutmeg, blood orange zest and wild mushrooms. This is an absolutely beautiful Pinot Noir that should go on to offer a drinking window that spans a decade or more.
