The Les Collines Vineyard has become one of the great vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley. It is situated at a high elevation vineyard between 1100 to 1300 feet and set on silt loam soils. The 2016 Syrah begins with earthy tones that are joined with herbs de Provence, black tea and shades of licorice that all build in the glass. The texture is simply beautiful, with a soft mouthfeel laved with flavors of bright red fruits that are wovwn together with minerals and citrus zest accents. While delightful in its youth, this gorgoeus Syrah should also evolve gracefully over the next decade.
