Sourced from the famed Stoneridge Vineyard, the ‘Royal City’ shows off its garnet color and opens with beautiful aromatic range from cloves, to suggestions of wild mushroom, potpourri and olive tampenade aromatics that dance in harmony in the glass. The palate shows great freshness, evoking a deep core of dried cherries that mingle with with tightly structured peppery tannins, citrus zest and earthy undertones. The finish imparted is both persistent and unrelenting. While outstanding in its youth, this beautiful, terroir-driven Syrah will evolve beautifully over the next decade and beyond.
