This Chiroubles Chatenay 'Vieilles Vignes' begins with inviting aromas of wild cherries and plums that are woven together with dark chocolate, fresh flowers, spices and fresh minerals. On the palate this is beautifully structured and refined, with a gorgeous silky texture that gives way to flavors of dark chocolate and red berries. It all comes to an end with a pretty finish that shows wonderful freshness. This is accessible and quite delicious today, yet should also continue to develop nicely over the next few years.
