The 2017 'Les Dames Huguettes' is an absolutely fantastic showing in this vintage. This Pinot Noir is 100% destemmed and sourced from vines averaging 35-years, which are planted to calcareous and deep soils on Argovian marls. The wine itself is bright and vibrant, offering pretty aromas of cherries and red berries which are followed by spices, dried rose petals, dried soil, minerals and a subtle hint of tar. On the palate this shows wonderful freshness and overall balance with lovely focus. Silky and elegant, this is a gorgeous Bourgogne that is drinking marvelous today, but it should also go on to offer at least a decade long drinking window ahead.
