The 2017 'Les Dames Huguettes' is an absolutely fantastic showing in this vintage. This Pinot Noir is 100% destemmed and sourced from vines averaging 35-years, which are planted to calcareous and deep soils on Argovian marls. The wine itself is bright and vibrant, this opens to pretty aromas of cherries and red berries which are followed by spices, dried rose petals, dried soil, minerals and a subtle hint of tar. On the palate this shows wonderful freshness and is beautifully balanced with lovely focus. Silky and elegant, this gorgeous Bourgogne is drinking marvelous today, but it should also go on to offer at least a decade long drinking window ahead. Excellent Value.
