The 2017 ‘Reserve Auguste Favier’ is yet another fascinating release and while this cuvée already has an outstanding track record, it has reached new heights over the past few vintages. Composed of predominately Grenache along with a percentage of Cinsault this stunning wine opens to beautiful aromas of black raspberries and cherries along with undertones of herbs, spices, pepper, minerals and some zesty nuances all taking shape. On the palate this displays wonderful elegance and finesse, yet shows remarkable concentration with a gorgeous seamless texture that glides through the finish. While the 2017 is nothing short of captivating today, the best has yet to come.
