The 2017 Clos du Mont-Olivet is a wonderful showing in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromas of dark raspberries, plums, dried spices, dried florals, orange zest, incense, savory herbs and wet stones which all take shape in the glass. The palate is medium to with wonderful finesse, and structured with soft round tannins with gorgeous sleek texture expands seamlessly through the finish. Balanced and nicely concentrated this is simply gorgeous today and should also age beautifully. Composed of 70% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 12% Mourvèdre with others rounding it out.
