The 2017 'Colombis' is absolutely fabulous. This instantly impresses as gorgeous aromatics of ripe black raspberries, dark cherries, exotic spices, savory herbs, florals, smoke and mineral nuances all come together and burst from the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and displays outstanding depth and concentration. It continues to impress as it shows wonderful freshness and purity all the way through the long, velvety finish. The 2017 is a total gem from Isabel Ferrando, and while it is already sensational today, it also possesses the potential to drink exceedingly well for many years to come.
