The 2016 'Nagual del Judith' Nebbiolo from Caduceus Cellars is sourced from individual blocks in the Judith Vineyard which are cropped between 2 to 2.5 tons per acre and sit at 4,900 feet elevation. This is an absolute stunner, as it begins with seductive aromas of dried cherries and wild berries which are laced with leather, truffle, and minerals, followed up with hints of eucalyptus and dried spices which all come together beautifully. It goes on to impress with its medium body and gorgeous silky tannins that glide beautifully across the palate as it displays outstanding balance and finesse through the finish. While this Nebbiolo is outstanding now, it should be aged for at least a few more years. Nebbiolo from Caduceus dead ringer for Barolo!
