The 2015 'Anwilka' is composed of 48% Syrah, 42% Cabernet 10% Petit Verdot this offers aromas of cherries, bramble berries woven together with pepper, spices, forest herbs, licorice, black tea and dried violets. On the palate this possesses a medium-full body, that is well-balanced with notable underlying acidity providing lift through the finish. This is showing well and certainly benefits from extended air contact. A joint venture between Lowell Jooste (the former co-owner of Klein Constantia), along with Hubert de Boüard (co-owner of Château Angélus) and Bruno Prats (former owner of Château Cos d’Estournel).
