The 2018 Camasella Rosso Appassimento begins with a fresh inviting nose, offering aromas of cherries and red plums followed by herbs, wild flowers, hay and a notable raisin character. On the palate this is full-bodied with soft, round tannins that gracefully wrap the ripe core of sweet berries and raisin flavors that expand seamlessly through the lavish finish. This is drinking nicely and quite delicious today, and while this might show its best stuff while young, it should also offer a drinking window that spans at least five years for those who want to wait.
