The 2017 Domaine de Chevalier is a remarkable success. This blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot start off with inviting aromatics of red currants and cassis which are woven together with herbs, tobacco, spices and a distinct earthy character that all emerge from the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied, and beautifully structured with fine tannins and that frame the long refined finish. This is an absolute beauty and should go on to have a brilliant future ahead for years to come.
