The 'Clos de la Barre' is a simply stunning showing in this vintage. It instantly opens to striking aromatics of pear, lemon oil, vanilla blossoms, crushed stones and a saline character that all come together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this displays gorgeous textural richness that and impeccably balanced with the perfect touch of acidity and saline infused minerality that persists though the precise finish. This has it all and is extremely accessible today, however it also displays the potential to continue to evolve gracefully for at least another decade.
