The 2015 Rioja 'Reserva' from Marqués de Cáceres is an excellent follow-up to the fantastic 2014 bottling. Sourced from this warm vintage in Rioja, this beautiful wine opens with layers of red and dark fruits that are woven together with suggestions of orange rind, coffee ground and milk chocolate tones that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is expressive with a gorgeous silky texture entices, as flavors of black tea and Asian spices brilliantly combine with leather, damp earth and black fruits. The long black fruit and mineral-driven finish lingers long on beautifully. While this is a delight right now, the 2015 'Reserva' Rioja should go on to evolve for years to come.
