Planted on Jory soils, the Etoile Vineyard sits at an altitude of 800-825 feet in elevation and is entirely planted to Dijon Clones of Chardonnay. The Chardonnay is aged for fifteen months in entirely new French oak, and the result is a gorgeous wine that delivers aromas of bright lemon zest and salted Macadamia nut tones, as well as shades of wild mushroom which all take shape in the glass. The palate has tremendous energy and verve, with a sterling sense of minerality. This possesses wonderful intensity with a juicy, mouthwatering core that expands on to the exceedingly long finish. While this may deliver considerable drinking enjoyment in its youth, this mineral-driven Chardonnay should also cellar well for a decade or more.
