The 2017 Saunders Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is an absolute gem from Bevan in this vintage. It opens to absolutely stunning aromatics of dark cherry reduction and blueberries, which are woven together with violets, sweet spices and hints of mocha, with gorgeous underlying characteristics of earthy loam and dusty minerals adding even more complexity. The palate is full, round and opulent, with a dense layered core of ripe dark fruits that expand seamlessly through the lavish finish. This is absolutely stunning today, but also has the potential to evolve gracefully for two decades.
