The 2016 Château Abelyce Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is an outstanding 100% Merlot from Amélie Aubert. It offers inviting aromatics of black cherries and cassis, along with fresh spring florals, loam, minerals and spices, all coming together beautifully. On the palate this possesses remarkable overall balance and a gorgeous polished texture, which leads into the long finish. While this is drinking beautifully today it should on become more appealing as it evolves over the next decade.
