The 2017 Borderan 'Grand Vin de Bordeaux' is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. It opens to lovely aromas of ripe blackberries and dark plums which connect with spices, licorice, tobacco, toast and crushed stones that all develop in the glass. This medium-bodied red is beautifully polished, well-structured and balanced with lovely acidity keeping it fresh through the long finish. This is drinking excellent today, but should continue to age beautifully over the next few years.
