The 2018 Domaine de la Rossignole Sancerre 'L'Essentiel' is a lovely showing in this vintage. It instantly impresses with it bright aromatics of opens to gooseberries, citrus zest, lychee and wet stones, which all burst from from the glass. On the palate this is beautifully balanced with remarkable vibrancy and energy leading up to the racy finish. This is a gorgeous Sancerre, which is a pleasure to drink today, but should also cellar nicely over the next few years.
