The 2017 Alexander Valley Cabernet from The Setting opens to wonderful aromas of black cherries, cassis and black plums are woven together with exotic nuances of clove spices, dried violets and a dried orange peel character all coming together beautifully. On the palate this is full-bodied and layered with a dense ripe core laced with flavors of red and black fruit along with exotic spices. Shows excellent over all balance with just enough acidity to keep it fresh though the finish. This Cabernet is drinking beautifully today, but should also age incredibly well for nearly two decades.
